The mantra that our elites have been trying to drum into our heads is simple: Things were sane and normal before you crazy rednecks elected Donald Trump. Stop voting for people like him, and everything will return to the copasetic kumbaya we enjoyed under Obama. Vote for a Liz Cheney or Mitt Romney Republican, if you must. But stop voting for populists, or else we can’t be responsible for the consequences. Nice country you got here. It’s be a terrible, terrible shame if something were to happen to it….
But that narrative falls apart when you look at the actual facts of how the Left has been operating for the past 20 years, in the shadows and behind the veneer of “respectable” institutions. We’ve reported here before on how blue states have been issuing commercial trucking licenses to unqualified foreigners, many of them here illegally and unable to read our road signs because they’re written in English.
Understanding the road signs might seem like an important qualification for controlling massive trucks on our highways where citizens are just trying to get their kids home alive. But what if such a requirement has a disparate impact on “undocumented” drivers, or unfairly offers advantages to white males — the scapegoat group which is exempt from civil rights protections?
The Democrats had an answer: Issue licenses left and right to thousands of foreign residents, and hope for the best. Gateway Pundit reports:
California’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has confessed to illegally handing out 17,000 non-domiciled Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs) to dangerous foreign drivers who have no business operating massive semitrucks or school buses on American roads.
According to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean P. Duffy, the discovery came as part of an ongoing audit by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
According to the Department of Transportation, each of the 17,000 non-domiciled CDL holders has been issued notice that their license will expire within 60 days, as it no longer meets federal requirements.
FMCSA is now requiring the California DMV to hand over a full audit of all non-domiciled CDLs to verify that every unlawfully issued license is revoked and that the state corrects the systemic failures that allowed this fraud to occur.
The lives of American drivers came a distant second after promoting “migration justice.” If Kamala Harris had somehow managed to nab the 2024 election, you can bet that nothing would have been done in California, or anywhere else, about this threat to public safety.
Leftist Judge Cuts Loose Hundreds of Illegals
The rule of law used to be something that had bipartisan support. No more. Now judges with Leftist agendas simply suspend the enforcement of laws they don’t approve of, as CNN reports:
A federal judge ordered the release of more than 600 people arrested as part of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in Illinois, according to CNN affiliate WLS, dealing a blow to federal efforts to detain and deport as many undocumented people as possible.
US District Judge Jeffrey Cummings on Wednesday morning sided with attorneys from the National Immigrant Justice Center and the ACLU. The plaintiffs alleged more than 3,000 people were arrested between June and October in “Operation Midway Blitz.”
Now, 615 of those arrested must be granted bond by noon on November 21, according to the ruling, which applies to people who do not have mandatory detention orders and do not pose a significant threat.
Was Gavin Newsom’s Former Chief of Staff an Outright Criminal?
The current frontrunner for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, has a problem — his longtime close association with an apparent criminal. Yahoo News reports:
Gavin Newsom’s former chief of staff Dana Williamson entered a not-guilty plea Wednesday to federal public corruption charges, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud.
Williamson, who served as the governor’s top aide from 2022 until 2024, is accused of helping funnel around $225,000 from a dormant campaign account apparently belonging to former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra to Becerra’s former chief of staff Sean McCluskie.
She was arrested Wednesday and later appeared in federal court alongside attorney Matthew Rowan, where she appeared to cry throughout the proceedings….
The indictment alleges that Williamson and another unnamed co-conspirator transferred money from Becerra’s state campaign account to the firm of longtime Sacramento lobbyist Greg Campbell for purported consulting services. Then, according to court documents, Campbell’s firm sent thousands of dollars a month to a third-party payroll provider, which paid McCluskie. The payments were disguised as pay for a no-show job supposedly performed by McCluskie’s spouse, according to the indictment.
One’s choice of chief of staff is kind of a big deal in politics. That person does much of your work, controls public access to you, and consequently must be the human being you trust the most. Newsom’s choice of Williamson offers us valuable data about his judgment.

This reminds me of Joe Biden’s militarized barriers that he constructed around our White House — though in his case, the high-level criminals were in his own family and his inner circle.
Joe Rogan Warns We’re Inching Closer to “Civil War”
Remember the claim that America was humming along just fine before the Deplorables rose up and elected Orange Man? Well, part of a country thriving entails the peaceful transfer of power, the losers of honest elections accepting their setback and figuring out how to do better next time — rather than declaring the party that beat them a “fascist” occupation force which merits terrorist armed resistance. But that’s not how the Left rolls, nowadays, as political independent Joe Rogan observed on a recent podcast. Fox News offers a summary:
Podcast host Joe Rogan warned on Tuesday that not just the death of TPUSA co-founder Charlie Kirk, but the celebration of it indicates the country is inching closer to a civil war.
Rogan spoke with his guest, Brian Redban, about how there has been a chaotic back-and forth tit-for-tat between America’s political left and right in recent years. He argued the stark division within the country was expressed by the murder of Kirk during a campus event this past September.
“Charlie Kirk gets shot and people are celebrating like, ‘whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You want people to die that you disagree with?’ Like, where are we right now on the scale of one-to-civil war? Where are we? Are we at seven? Because I thought we were at a five. I thought we were like four. Four or five,” he said on the Tuesday’s episode of the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast. “But after the Charlie Kirk thing, I’m like, ‘Oh, we might be like seven.’ This might be like step seven on the way to a bonafide civil war.”
Joe Rogan cautioned that when people start rejoicing over someone’s death–especially a public killing witnessed by the world and their family–it reflects a disturbing moral decline. He emphasized that if the person’s biggest offense was merely saying things others disagreed with, then celebrating their violent death is deeply troubling.
But remember, it was “censorship” when TV stations tried to cancel Jimmy Kimmel’s program for falsely claiming that Kirk was killed by Republican Christians, which provoked an elite backlash that put him right back on the air.
