Tuesday, August 4th, was the cutoff for completing systematic list-maintenance programs that remove ineligible voters under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA).

According to Grok AI:

Under the NVRA (52 U.S.C. § 20507(c)(2)(A)), states must complete any program whose purpose is to systematically remove the names of ineligible voters from the official lists of eligible voters no later than 90 days before a primary or general election for federal office. For the November 3, 2026, general election, this 90-day quiet period begins on or around August 5, 2026 (exactly 90 days prior). Systematic programs therefore need to be finished by August 4, 2026.

This restriction covers bulk or programmatic activities such as large-scale data matching, mass mailings, or similar efforts aimed at identifying and removing ineligible registrants. It does not freeze the rolls entirely or ban all changes. Exceptions explicitly allow continued processing of:

  • New voter registrations (subject to each state’s ordinary deadlines, which vary and are often much closer to Election Day or allow same-day registration).
  • Individual removals at the voter’s own request, due to death, criminal conviction, or mental incapacity (as provided by state law).
  • Corrections of a registrant’s information and routine day-to-day updates.

Some contemporaneous references (including court filings and election-official notices) specifically cite August 4, 2026, as the completion deadline for obtaining lists and performing such systematic removals ahead of the quiet period. Other sources describe the blackout as starting August 5. Either way, August 4 marks the practical end of the window for those bulk programs.

President Trump made election integrity a promise to his voters and the American people. After his 2020 election night victory was followed by days of mysterious vote counting that resulted in Joe Biden’s improbable win, President Trump has frequently spoken out on the broken US election systems.

Trump made election integrity one of his most popular goals.  Unfortunately, the US Senate and Majority leader John Thune had other ideas.

Thune has no desire to pass the SAVE Act and save America from the communist hordes mobilizing on the left.

Despite the fact that 83% of Americans, including millions of Democrats, support voter ID, Thune did not want to be bothered with securing our elections.

August 4th, came and went, and John Thune refused to act.

Democrats NEVER had it so good!

And now, it’s too late to challenge states to systematically remove the names of ineligible voters from the official lists.

It’s pretty obvious that John Thune is on the other side.

He needs to go.

If Republicans wanted to win the 2026 midterm elections, they would have passed the SAVE Act. That was just too much to ask.

So, who owns you, John Thune?
