The Brew: Could the U.S. Help End the Stupid War in Ukraine Killing Christians?

If you’ve read me for the past few years, you know the stakes of the war in Ukraine: Absolutely nothing. This conflict is as futile, fratricidal, and meaningless as the First World War — the War About Nothing which helped to poison Western civilization and lay the groundwork for both the Ukrainian famine and the Holocaust.

Our Deep State, arms merchants, and political Establishment have been using this squalid conflict over empty steppes and rusted factories for more than a decade — partly to tarnish Donald Trump with fake claims of “collusion” and treason, and partly to grab control of natural gas supplies, while pushing the LGBTQMYNAMEISLEGION agenda on millions of hapless Christians.

God willing, things might be changing. RT News (Russia) reports on a possible peace plan of American origin, which could stop this futile slaughter:

Count on Democrats addicted to spreading abortion and transgenderism, and Republicans hooked on donations from arms contractors, to oppose any plan that might end this war that the Biden regime made inevitable. Pray that the Trump team is willing to defy them.

Colorado Wants to Kill Tina Peters

You’ve read here about the heroic efforts of honest election official Tina Peters to document vote fraud in Colorado during the 2020 election — which landed her with a long prison sentence. The Left doesn’t kid around; its modus operandi is not just to win, but to humiliate, crush, and destroy those who stand against it, in order to make sure that citizens succumb to learned helplessness. The Left inflicts exemplary punishment on business owners like Jake Gardner who tried to defend his bar and elderly father against a George Floyd looter — and was driven to suicide by fake hate crimes charges.

The same thing was tried on Kyle Rittenhouse, who was charged with first-degree murder for shooting people who’d shot at him and were chasing him through the streets. Thousands of peaceful January 6 protestors were likewise hunted, with the full approval of Democrats who are even now fighting to keep human traffickers from being rightly deported out of our country.

Tina Peters’ scalp is one that the Left really wants to collect. We’ve already reported here in detail about the scandalous, corrupt prosecution of Peters, and the outrageous sentence she received, from a judge who admitted that he was adding time in prison because she would not accept the outcome of the 2020 election. Now Peters’ health is declining, and the State of Colorado seems to be determined that she die in prison — as a lesson to others. The Illinois Review argues that the State’s behavior isn’t just morally contemptible, but unconstitutional:

Colorado officials want the public to believe that keeping former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters in prison is justice. But when a woman’s health is collapsing, when she is rapidly declining, and when her continued confinement now poses a direct threat to her life, the law tells a very different story.

Colorado is not simply neglecting its responsibility – it is violating its own constitution.

Article II, Section 20 of the Colorado Constitution states in unmistakable terms: “Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”

While this language mirrors the Eighth Amendment, Colorado’s Supreme Court has long interpreted its own provision more broadly than the federal minimum. In People v. Gaskins, the court made it clear that Colorado’s protections against cruel punishment “are not limited by federal interpretations where broader protections are appropriate.”

That distinction matters right now. Tina Peters’ health has gotten so bad that keeping her in prison isn’t just unwise — it’s dangerous to her life. She is facing a real medical emergency, and the prison simply doesn’t have the doctors, equipment, or ability to treat her.

Colorado courts have already made it clear that when the state denies proper medical care, waits too long to provide it, or keeps someone in a place that cannot safely care for them, it crosses the line into cruel and unusual punishment.

Pray that President Donald Trump can find a way to free this patriot from her political imprisonment.

What will socialist poster boy Mamdani ask Trump to do? Maybe the mayor elected almost entirely on foreign-born votes in a colonized New York City will ask Trump to hold off on enforcing our country’s immigration laws — since the Trump administration seems poised to actually enforce them, as MSN reports:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement will increase operations in New York City due to its status as a sanctuary city, White House border czar Tom Homan said Tuesday.

“We’re increasing enforcement presence in New York City again because they’re a sanctuary city, and we know we have an issue. There are public safety threats in the street every day,” Homan said on Fox & Friends.

“I’m willing to meet with anybody. President Trump is willing to meet with anybody, but let’s get together and work it together. We’d much rather work with these sanctuary cities than keep, you know, putting our officers at extreme risk,” Homan added.

Meanwhile, how are things in New York City? Well … masked jihadis are besieging synagogues, months before Mamdani even takes office.

Former Harvard President Called Jeffrey Epstein a “Wing Man”

Our Congress just voted to release a vast horde of details about the long list of U.S. elites who were connected to Jeffrey Epstein’s human trafficking sex ring. And wouldn’t you know it, but beyond Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew, the former president of Harvard University apparently has something to hide. NBC News reports:

Larry Summers announced Wednesday night that he would step aside from his teaching duties at Harvard University while the school investigates his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Summers, a former treasury secretary and ex-president of Harvard, also plans to go on leave as director of the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at the Harvard Kennedy School, according to his spokesman, Steven Goldberg….

Summers has been in the national spotlight after the House Oversight Committee published more than 20,000 documents from Epstein’s estate, including extensive email exchanges between the two men suggesting they were closer than had previously been known….

The emails released by the House show Summers and Epstein communicated as recently as 2019, more than a decade after Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor. They continued to correspond until July 5, 2019, a day before Epstein was arrested and charged with sex trafficking of minors.

In one batch of emails, Summers sought Epstein’s advice on his relationship with an unnamed woman he described as a mentee. Epstein described himself as a “pretty good wing man.” In another exchange, Summers lamented that men who “hit on” women in the workplace may suffer career repercussions.

Jeffrey Epstein may have escaped a long prison term by “killing himself,” and Larry Summers will probably never miss a fancy meal. But at least some dangerous criminals are getting the police scrutiny they deserve in our NATO ally Germany:

Germany, as you’ll remember, is one of the main countries demanding billions of dollars and perhaps even U.S. troops to defend “democracy” by risking a nuclear war with Russia over Ukraine.
