Some excellent developments have emerged from Marco Rubio’s State Department. After decades of delusional happy talk about Islam as a “religion of peace” from the George W. Bush, Obama, and Biden administrations, President Donald Trump’s team is facing facts. It’s confronting the the Muslim Brotherhood — an organization that promotes jihad terrorism, invasive immigration, and sharia law worldwide. Newsmax reports:
Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Tuesday that the U.S. is in the process of designating the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.
Speakingto Sid Rosenburg of “Sid and Friends in the Morning,” Rubio was asked about the support that New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is getting from groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood.
“Why wouldn’t you guys designate the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR? I just – I look at these organizations, I have a mayor’s race here in New York City with this psycho, this lunatic Mamdani. Both of these groups you know are behind him, especially the Muslim Brotherhood. Is that something you think we can count on maybe in the near future? Maybe not CAIR just yet, but certainly the Muslim Brotherhood?” Rosenberg asked, referring to the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
“Yeah, all of that is in the works,” Rubio responded, “and obviously there are different branches of the Muslim Brotherhood, so you’d have to designate each one of them.”
Rubio noted that the formal process is lengthy and the government needs to be very thorough in its investigation, but that steps are being made. “We are constantly reviewing for groups to designate for what they are: supporters of terrorists, maybe terrorists themselves, whatever it may be. We haven’t done this in a long time, so it’s — we’ve got a lot of catch-up to do. And you’ve mentioned a couple names, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood, that are of grave concern,” he added.
What is the Muslim Brotherhood? It’s a global conspiracy effort to convert the non-Muslim world or subjugate it by force, imposing sharia law on every square inch of the planet — just as Orthodox Islam demands. For deep background on the organization, read some of the 500-plus reports longtime Stream contributor Raymond Ibrahim, a scholar of Islam, has written.
Founded in 1928 in Egypt as a response to the collapse of the Muslim “Vatican,” the Caliphate, the Brotherhood has formed hundreds of front groups in various countries — some posing as civil rights organizations to protect Muslim minorities, others openly waging jihad on “unbelievers.” These groups often have overlapping memberships, and they cooperate closely with each other. Hamas was founded by Brotherhood members. So was the Council on Islamic-American Relations (CAIR), which retains a veneer of respectability, posing as the Muslim equivalent of the NAACP.
Brotherhood-linked organizations wield outsized influence throughout the West, especially where post-Christian elites are desperate to avoid the taint of “xenophobia” or “racism.” As Stream contributor William Kilpatrick has written:
Although most people think of the Islamic threat in terms of armed jihad, the main threat to the West comes from cultural jihad — the advance of Islam and sharia law through agitation, intimidation, propaganda, lawfare, political activism, and infiltration of key institutions. As I’ve indicated, this type of jihad is all the more likely to succeed in societies that pride themselves on their tolerance and openness to diversity.
There is considerable evidence that Muslim Brotherhood organizations have influenced policy in the U.S Department of Justice, the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Defense Department. For example, all national security agencies in the U.S. have been forced to drop from their training manuals any suggestion that Islam has a tendency to violence. Meanwhile, on college campuses in the U.S., the influx of Saudi money helps to guarantee that students learn only an Islam-friendly version of history and current events. And in politically correct America, few dare to complain about these developments.
Stream contributor Tim Furnish was ousted from teaching American security officials the truth about Islam, thanks to such policies.
It’s very hopeful news that the Trump administration is breaking the spell of complacency about jihadi infiltration of our institutions. Let’s pray that our leaders persevere in ferreting out the links between Islamic apologists and the perpetrators of violence.
Law Protecting Kids from Trans Groomers and Quacks Takes Effect
In more encouraging news, the citizens of Arkansas have been vindicated in their efforts to protect vulnerable children from the demonic ideology of transgenderism and the massive industry in medical mutilation that has sprung up to profit from it. Fox News reports:
A federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld an Arkansas law prohibiting doctors from providing gender transition medical treatment to minors, reversing a lower court decision that blocked the first-in-the-nation law.
The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 8-2 on Tuesday to overturn a lower court decision, now allowing the state to enforce the law. The appeals court cited the U.S. Supreme Court decision in June upholding a similar ban in Tennessee, in which the nation’s highest court ruled that the law was constitutional and did not discriminate against transgender people.
Referencing the Supreme Court’s decision, the appeals court agreed with Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin, a Republican, that the law did not violate transgender minors’ equal protection rights under the U.S. Constitution….
Arkansas Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders wrote on social media that the ruling “is a win for common sense — and for our kids.”
Arkansas became the first U.S. state to ban transgender treatments such as puberty blockers, hormones and surgery for minors in 2021, when the Republican-led legislature passed the ban after they overruled the veto of then-GOP Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
Remember when squishy Republicans and timid Christian leaders were telling us that same-sex “marriage” posed no threat to anyone? The legal theories that underpinned the Supreme Court’s bankrupt Obergefell decision led directly (and almost immediately) to the explosion in transgender activism. And now we have to fight court battles to protect little kids from their school psychologists and demented sex-change clinics.
Trump Effort to Ban Quotas at Military Academies Prevails
I’m still not sick of winning. Are you? According to The Washington Times:
The Justice Department announced a settlement Tuesday promising that the Military Academy at West Point and the Air Force Academy will stop using race-based admissions preferences and instead select students “exclusively on merit.”
Government officials said the settlement is part of President Trump’s effort to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion policies across the government.
“Today’s agreement ensures that our future military leaders will carry on the greatness that is born of opportunity, effort, and a level playing field,” said Jay Clayton, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, which was handling the West Point case.
Of course, some will claim that this settlement will make our military less effective, since “Our Diversity Is Our Strength.” But nobody really believes that.
Court Rules That Lower Courts Can’t Force Trump to Dispense Foreign Aid
In another victory for the rule of law and the separation of powers, a federal court has intervened to restore some of Trump’s executive authority, Yahoo reports:
A federal appeals court on Wednesday lifted an injunction that required the U.S. State Department to continue making foreign aid payments, handing a victory to President Donald Trump.
In a 2-1 decision, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit said a lower court erred by ordering the Trump administration to restore foreign assistance payments previously approved by Congress.
Trump imposed a 90-day pause on all foreign aid on January 20, the same day he was inaugurated for a second term in the White House. His executive order was followed by aggressive moves to gut USAID, the main U.S. foreign aid agency, including by placing much of its staff on leave and exploring bringing the formerly independent agency under the State Department.
Two nonprofit groups that receive federal funding, AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition and Journalism Development Network, brought litigation alleging Trump’s funding freeze was unlawful.
U.S. District Judge Amir Ali, an appointee of former President Joe Biden, ordered the Trump administration to pay nearly $2 billion in outstanding aid to its humanitarian partners worldwide.
Writing for the two-judge majority, Circuit Judge Karen Henderson said the nonprofit groups “lack a cause of action to press their claims” and therefore failed to satisfy the requirements for an injunction.
Is Adam Schiff Finished? Whistleblower Revelations Keep Coming
Gateway Pundit just made my day. It announced:
A whistleblower allegation and newly declassified FBI interview reports are now threatening to shatter the political career of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the former ranking member and later chair of the House Intelligence Committee.
The anonymous Democrat whistleblower has come forward to the FBI, alleging that then-Rep. Adam Schiff authorized the leaking of classified information to the media with the explicit goal of destroying President Donald Trump during the Russiagate hoax.
According to recently declassified FBI 302 interview reports obtained by Just the News, the whistleblower, who served Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee for more than a decade, repeatedly warned the FBI starting in 2017 that Schiff had approved targeted leaks of damaging intelligence against Trump.
In an all-staff meeting, Schiff allegedly declared that the group would leak classified information derogatory to President Trump and stated the leaks would be used to indict him.
The whistleblower reported he objected, calling the actions “unethical and possibly treasonous,” but was assured they’d “not be caught leaking classified information.”
The whistleblower claimed Schiff believed he was promised the position of CIA Director if Hillary Clinton had won the 2016 election. [emphasis added]
Rep. Eric Swalwell was named as a likely conduit for the leaks. Despite raising these allegations, the whistleblower was abruptly fired.
