Workers at a Buffalo Starbucks voted to form a union, according to results announced by the National Labor Relations Board Thursday.

Workers at a second store in the area voted against unionizing, though some ballots had not been counted yet, the New York Times reports.
The victory at the one store represents a challenge to the labor model at the coffee giant. None of Starbucks’ nearly 9,000 company-owned stores in the U.S. were unionized previously.

Workers cited frustration over understaffing and insufficient training when they filed for union elections at the store in late August.

The unionized employees are joining Workers United.
